Menu Plan Monday

It’s Monday, which means a new week of meals is underway.  I grocery shopped on Sunday, so the kitchen is stocked and ready to roll for this week’s culinary creations.

Speaking of grocery shopping, I had deja vu there yesterday.  It was like a scene straight outta Groundhog Day

After 10 laps around the grocery store that left me desperate for a bathroom, I get in line to pay and see that it’s the same checker I had last week. I instantly remember last week’s episode, but press on anyway, certain history won’t repeat itself.  I cheerfully began piling my stock on the belt when, alas, history. repeated. itself.

“Oohh look at you, when are you due?”

“September 9th”

September?? Wow, you look farther along than that.”

“oh.. thank you?”

“Well, you know, some women just get bigger than others.  Is it just one baby?”

(ahem)  “Yes.  Just one. I think we talked about this last week, actually…”

“Wow!   I didn’t remember.  Boy, it’s gonna be a long summer for you!”

OK, OK, on to the menu plan. Last week a few meals didn’t get made for one reason or another, so they are on the menu again this week.

Monday: Lasagna, Honey Wheat Bread (1/2 for us, 1/2 for a friend)

Tuesday: Pork Chops, Corn, and Baked Potatoes with Sour Cream and Cheese

Wednesday: Chicken, Onion and Mushroom Pizza with Homemade Crust (the mushrooms are a must or Livy won’t eat it and Andrew loves onions on his pizza.  Of course the toppings could be edited to be a bit more traditional.)

Thursday: Fajita Quesadillas, Applesauce

Friday: Leftovers, eat out, or grab something to grill from the store

Saturday: Leftovers

LUNCHES:

Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Tuna Sandwiches

Baked Cheetos

Apple Slices with Dip

Carrots with Peanut Butter

BREAKFASTS:
