Sweet Green Beans

These green beans are to die for and a huge hit with my family!  I make them often for holiday meals, which is one time we don’t worry about making everything super healthy.  If I’m making these for a normal weeknight dinner, I use turkey bacon and skip the butter.  Enjoy!

Sweet Green Beans

  • 5 cans cut green beans, drained
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Lb Bacon, chopped (Uncooked)
  • 1 Stick Butter, melted (I use margarine- could use less if you want)

Grease 9×13 dish. Add drained beans.  Sprinkle with garlic salt, then brown sugar.  Layer on the chopped bacon. Pour the melted butter over all.

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes covered, then 20 minutes uncovered.

If your bacon isn’t crispy by this time, put the dish under the broiler for a few minutes.
